Shiftworkers under this award get a flat 150% (175% casual) for Saturday, Sunday AND public holiday ordinary hours — there is no escalating Sunday or public-holiday premium the way non-shiftworkers get. Non-shiftworker rates are shown separately above.
Overtime shown is for non-shiftworkers, Monday to Saturday — shiftworkers have separate overtime-outside-ordinary-hours rates (also 200%/225% casual) not modelled here.
Casual loading stacks additively on every row in this award, including overtime — casual = full-time rate + 25 percentage points throughout.
Casual loading interaction
Casual employees under the Clerks Award get a 25% casual loading on their base hourly rate, in exchange for not receiving paid annual leave, personal/carer's leave or notice of termination. That loading generally stacks additively on top of weekend and public holiday penalties — e.g. a Sunday penalty of 200% for full-time staff becomes 225% for casuals under this award.
Check the notes in the table above — some awards (Hospitality, Restaurant) pay casuals the SAME overtime rate as full-time/part-time staff, with no extra casual loading stacked on overtime specifically.
