A strict vehicle filter, not a personal-loan fallback

CDR publishes car finance inside the broader personal-loans product category. This explorer requires an explicit car, vehicle or auto word in the product name, then applies the lender's published amount and term boundaries. It uses periodic principal-and-interest rates only.

If no products match, the explorer shows an empty result. It does not relax the criteria, invent a reference rate or present every personal loan as vehicle finance. This precision means the result is a useful labelled subset, not a complete market census.

Car loan rate explorer FAQs

What car loan data does this explorer use?
It uses public Consumer Data Right product-reference data published by participating Australian lenders. It does not connect to a bank, request consent, or access account, balance, transaction or identity data.
Which products count as car loans?
The CDR personal-loan category also contains general-purpose products. To avoid substituting unrelated loans, this explorer includes only products whose published name explicitly contains car, vehicle or auto. A lender may offer other vehicle finance that is not labelled that way in its CDR record.
Why can the advertised rate and comparison rate differ?
The advertised rate is the published interest rate. A comparison rate combines interest with certain fees and charges using a prescribed example loan. It can help with initial comparisons, but it may not reflect your amount, term or every cost.
Does the lowest result mean I can get that rate?
No. Results match published product attributes, not lender eligibility, security requirements or credit assessment. Tailored pricing can also vary by borrower. Confirm the current rate, fees, eligibility and terms with the provider.
Can I calculate repayments from a listed rate?
Yes. Select Model repayment to open the car loan repayment calculator with the financed amount, published interest rate and term prefilled. The estimate shown in the explorer excludes fees and balloon payments.
