Matching method

A strict product filter, not a reference-rate fallback

The explorer uses fixed deposit-rate rows only. A result needs published evidence for the selected term and interest timing. Your amount must satisfy every product-level opening, minimum and maximum balance constraint plus one applicable dollar rate tier where tiers are present.

Foreign-currency products and rate periods that cannot be mapped to the selected profile are excluded. If nothing matches, the result stays empty instead of relaxing a boundary or inserting an average rate.

Term deposit rate explorer FAQs

What term deposit data does this explorer use?
It uses public Consumer Data Right product-reference records published by Australian banking providers. It does not connect to your bank, request consent, or access customer, account, balance, transaction or identity data.
How does the explorer match my deposit amount?
A product must accept your amount under its published opening, minimum and maximum balance constraints. Where a rate also has a dollar tier, your amount must fall inside that tier. A malformed published boundary is not ignored or replaced with an estimate.
How are the term and interest payment timing matched?
The selected term must be present in the published rate period, term tier or product name. Monthly, quarterly and annual options also require the matching CDR application frequency. Products with another frequency are excluded rather than treated as approximately equivalent.
Does the highest result mean it is the best term deposit for me?
No. Results are ranked by the published annual rate after the selected filters. Consider eligibility, early-withdrawal rules, linked-account requirements, fees, deposit protection and what happens at maturity. Confirm the current rate and full terms with the provider before acting.
Can I calculate the return from a listed rate?
Yes. Select Model return to open the term deposit calculator with the amount, annual rate, term and interest payment timing prefilled. The calculator is an estimate and does not reproduce every provider day-count or early-withdrawal rule.
