Frequently asked questions
What is grossed-up dividend yield?
It divides the cash dividend plus attached franking credit by the investment value. This shows the pre-company-tax income represented by the distribution.
How is a franking credit estimated?
For an estimated fully or partly franked dividend, the calculator applies the selected company tax rate and franking percentage. Use the actual dividend-statement credit for tax reporting.
Are franking credits always refundable?
No. Eligibility and integrity rules apply, including holding-period rules. The calculator shows an indicative individual tax outcome, not a guaranteed refund.
Does dividend yield include share-price gains?
No. Yield uses annual cash distributions against the entered share value. Capital gains or losses are separate.
