Rates effective 1 July 2026. Above the full-rate threshold, the normal combined pension reduces by $3.00 per fortnight for each $1,000. Rent Assistance can raise the cut-off.

How much is the Age Pension in 2026?
From 20 March to 19 September 2026, the maximum normal rate is $1,200.90 per fortnight for a single person and $905.20 each for a couple, including Pension and Energy Supplements.
When do Age Pension rates change?
Maximum payment rates are normally indexed on 20 March and 20 September. Assets and deeming thresholds are normally indexed on 1 July, so the effective dates are shown separately.
What are the 2026 Age Pension assets limits?
From 1 July 2026, the full-rate threshold starts at $333,000 for a single homeowner and $499,000 combined for a homeowner couple. The normal cut-offs are higher and depend on homeowner and relationship status.
What are the Work Bonus limits?
The standard concession is $300 per eligible pensioner per fortnight, the personal bank cap is $11,800, and a new eligible recipient generally starts with $4,000.
Do these tables guarantee eligibility?
No. Services Australia applies the income and assets tests plus age, residence and other qualification rules. Transitional rates, Rent Assistance, overseas rates and special asset or income treatment can change a result.
